The quaint décor is nice, but the bathroom had mould on the tiles.

ample free parking, charming vintage decor, proximity to shops
The room had a tiny TV, outdated furnishings, and a bathroom that needed urgent refurbishment!!! The water pressure in the shower was hopeless and it felt cold and damp throughout!!! A simple paint job would significantly improve the ambiance!!!

The party beneath our room ruined what was meant to be a relaxing birthday celebration for my husband. Dusty conditions and a lack of concern from management left us disappointed.

The room was mostly quiet and spacious, which was nice. The bed felt comfy, and it was clean enough. But, there were some squeaky floorboards that made it a bit annoying to move around. the décor was a bit dated, giving it an old vibe, which might not be for everyone.

Perfect for solo travelers
I had a great experience during my stay. The staff were helpful, even offering to store my medicine in the fridge. And the food, I mean really good! There was a wonderful breakfast menu and the portions were generous. I even got a huge room, which was perfect for setting up some work 🤓.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but still acceptable.

Exceptional hospitality in a historic hotel
I recently enjoyed a delightful stay that truly reflected the warmth of Scottish hospitality. The room was spacious and comfortable, with remote-controlled skylights that allowed for wonderful ambiance during the day. Breakfast was exceptional, catering perfectly to my dietary needs, and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. A minor downside was the need for some updates in the room decor.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed golfing at Kintore Golf Club and exploring the local area. The staff were friendly and we appreciated the free parking. Just a heads up, some areas are a bit dated and could use some TLC.
One downside was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. they really need to address the mould issue.

I just spent a night at The Elgin in Inverurie and had a mixed experience. The vintage decor in the common areas instantly felt welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I enjoyed the lovely dinner options in the dining room and appreciated the efficient service throughout my stay. My room was a Double Room, but it had no window. just a skylight. This made the space feel stuffy. The bathroom showed clear signs of wear, needing better water pressure and proper maintenance. The breakfast, while ample, didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of quality. Aimed for crispy bacon but got an undercooked version instead. The carpets need replacing too. they were quite stained and detracted from the overall charm. The location was convenient, and I did find ample parking available.
